Connoisseur Estates is bringing the full Bodega Volcanes de Chile wine portfolio to the UK for the first time.
The collection, which will be showcased at the London Wine Fair (LWF) next month, comprises Reserva Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon (rsp: £13.99), the Tectonia quartet - Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir, Cabernet Sauvignon and a Grenache/Petite Syrah/Mourvèdre (rsp: £18.99), alongside flagship tipple - Parinacota Syrah/Carignan blend (rsp: £22.99).
Available to the on and off-trade, with a number of “significant” listings already secured, the arrival of the full Bodega Volcanes de Chile portfolio in the UK came at an “exciting time” for Chilean wine, said Andrew Steel, director of Connoisseur Estates, adding the launch marked the first time the complete portfolio would be available in the UK.
With their vineyards situated on volcanic soil, the winemaker’s first vintage (2011) was made with varying degrees of volcanic influence based in diverse regions such as Leyda Valley, Biobio and Cauquenes Valley.
“Bodega Volcanes de Chile sees itself as one the great pioneers in the Chilean wine industry by venturing into this new form of viticulture, committed to producing high quality, distinctive wines that express the hidden secrets of this unique terroir,” said Steel.
Other producers represented by Connoisseur Estates include Tohu & Aronui from New Zealand, Oldenburg Vineyards from South Africa, Gauchezco Wines from Argentina, Champagne Autréau and recent addition Woodchurch wines from Kent.
