Cellar Trends’ Peter Reeves to retire

After 54 years in the wine and spirits industry, Peter Reeves is set to hang up his vineyard boots.

He will be leaving the industry he joined at the tender age of 16, leaving behind a career legacy which includes heavy involvement bringing en primeur wines and also pioneering Australian wine imports to the UK.

Reeves’ described his time in the industry as a “great adventure”, most recently at as national accounts manager at agent and distributor Cellar Trends.

His career, he said, culminated in “helping with Cellar Trends’ founding team propel the business into one of the most respected brands in the UK. I have worked with some extraordinary people over my time here and it has been fantastic to witness the growth of some brilliant brands,” he said.

David Marriott, joint managing director at Cellar Trends, added: “Peter has been a fantastic asset to the Cellar Trends team and his knowledge and expertise across the wine industry has been next to none.

“We have worked together for 41 years and during that time he has been a dear friend and colleague. Whilst we are sad to see him go, we wish him the best of luck in his retirement.”

Established in 1999, Cellar Trends is a family-owned company which represents a range of international brands across wines and spirits.
