New managing director for DHL Tradeteam

Jo Gilbert

DHL Tradeteam, one of the biggest logistics businesses delivering to the UK on and off-trade, has a new managing director.

In his new role, Bill Bacon will oversee Tradeteam’s UK drinks network, with 30 operations, 600 vehicles and more than 2,000 employees distributing nationwide.

Bacon replaces James Gill, who becomes Chief Financial Officer of DHL Supply Chain UKI.

Bacon said that he is looking forward to the challenge of growing DHL Tradeteam’s service in the UK at a “time of change in the drinks industry.”

He comes across from DHL, where he was managing director in the Automotive team, to Tradeteam - the arm of DHL which supplies specifically to the UK drinks sector.

Since joining DHL Supply Chain in 2001, Bacon has held various roles across retail and automotive sectors, managing some of DHL’s largest and most complex accounts.

As MD of Tradeteam, he will report directly to Paul Dyer, CEO UK & Ireland, and become a member of the regional UK&I board.
