In case you missed some of the headlines this week on, we have put together a review of the top online news, Q&As, and opinion stories.


Most Read: As May prepares for her talk with President Trump, wines and spirits formed part of the political debate this week as the WSTA’s Miles Beale called on the industry to help get wine a favourable deal in the next Budget. 

Elsewhere, Wines of Australia formed a major part of the agenda as the ADT 2017 tasting came to town.


Spirits: A lot of news coming out from the world of spirits this week with both drinks giant Diageo and everyone’s favourite mixer, Fever Tree, posting positive results for 2016. 


Analysis and insights: Educating your premier crew asked why in the UK we have arguably the best selection of wines to buy in the world, and yet bartenders, waiters, managers and even sometimes sommeliers are lacking the necessary knowledge.
